2009
19:23 | Author: DrTofu
Another year has come and gone. I wonder if its because we're all so busy with our works, but time seem to have upgraded its own speed to double what I used to feel back then in secondary school. Every year seem long back then, and now, if you're not careful, you might pass another year in your life without doing anything significant.

2009 is quite a topsy turvy year for me. There were some random and unexpected events happening here and then, there's also some great and superb memories to be added into the memory album up there in my brain.

March 2009 is really one month I'll never forget. 21st March is the day I got my beloved Honda City, it was also the day it got banged by my salesman into the showroom door, on left and right side of my car. So all in all, my car was damaged before I even got it into my hands! I still am a bit speechless till today about this "memorable" event. Probably I'll be speechless bout this till I die, unless someone else tells me bout how their salesman manage to dump their brand new car from showroom to a nearby ditch, then I'll shup up for the rest of my life about this accident.

Then comes summer of 2009, where most of our Kepong gang members residing at foreign countries return to Malaysia not to reunite with family, but to eat char kuey teows, nasi lemak, Manjalara grilled chicken wings, play pool and gather with friends. Some returned late, some early.

And so we gathered as usual at Spicy, and exchanges rapid fire news across from UK to Kepong to Semenyih and PJ. Some people were missing as well from these gatherings, namely Aaron and Tsi Ngar. Haha. We're still waiting for him to fly back to us.

No summer is complete without a grand outing with the Kepong gang members. This summer, we initially planned to go some island on the east coast, like beautiful white sand beached Redang Island or Lang Tengah. We even thought of going to Sabah, but Voon Yuan beat us to it by going with his UK mates. So in the end, we settled for Sungkai Hot Spring in Perak, thanks to Yiew Wen's suggestion.

Sungkai definitely left me with a memorable 2009 summer. Our closest to complete Kepong gang outing ever since secondary eras. Attendance includes Yiew Wen, Ai Woon, Zhen Khai, Voon Yuan, Jacklyn, Kim Hung and me. The trip also includes gf/bfs of our gang member, which includes Sue Lynn and Han Sin =) Missing gang members were Aaron, then residing in Langkawi to fly some planes and Tsi Ngar, who just couldn't make it in time for the trip. Hopefully next trip they'll be able to join us.

This is the place where I developed some steamboat phobia. We had steamboat for dinner, supper and all the way to breakfast for the next morning. Then we also played angels and demon in the wet wet pool in our villa, in which...Mo Kim Hung was so busy texting some Perak girls he didn't bother talking in the game, but rather jumping in and out of the pool to grab his phone all the time. Wet hands + an electronic device as fragile as a phone is a bad combo Kim Hung. His phone in the end got shot! It sort of went cuckoo due to water entering the keypad. Sad case for him. It also lead to him drying his phone with the hair dryer...hahaha.

Next, come a great news! ( I can't remember, if this comes first or Sungkai first) I was informed by our Nottingham staffs I was approved for UK exchange study programme!!! I was very happy as my results is definitely off the mark to join the programme. This news realised my dream of going to UK. It is my favourite country in the whole world, with great football, transport, all english speaking.

Not long after, come the frenzy of preparation for everything I need to bring over to UK. Documents, clothings, food, stationaries and the other neccessities. After that, we had plenty of tea sessions at either Spicy or Murni to ask two fellow members at UK on what is needed. One always tells you what should be brought while the other tells you "There's everything in UK".

Within a blink of an eye, comes September, Yiew Wen and Tsi Ngar were gone for almost two weeks, and its my turn to fly. Final meetings with extended family members were in procedure. I still remember how it feels. At first, it was a great bubbly joyous feel inside me when I knew I am going to UK. After a while it subsided, and I just felt normal, then, I'm starting to feel split. Part of me does not want to leave Malaysia, part of me shouting out, "I'm going!!!"

But I relented and I flew towards a totally foreign country, fate unknown.
We arrived safely, and soon settled down.

Soon came December, almost the end of another half great half sad year. I still manage to grab some time off studies to do a final big journey to Austria and Budapest, Hungary with my fellow housemates. All in all, that was another great adventure in my life, experiencing many new things on the horizon, a different european country, real skiing experience and many more. Tiring it might be, but it is worth it.

Landing back in UK, I headed straight for London, where I regrouped with the Kepong gang again for a Christmas reunion. Where you lost a friend, you shall gain a new friend. And this time, we lost Tsi Ngar to exam, but we gained Chai Earn from Bristol. Hehe. Made some 7 star dinner, beating many restaurants and hotels in London. We had (this is over a few days)
Bak Kut Teh
steamed fish
home roasted char siew
duck confit spaghetti (10 stars dish)
roast chicken
white wine mussels (Ai Woon's babies)
steamboat
fruit pie, honeydew sago, teh tarik, caesar salad, butternut squash soup,. I hope I didn't left out any great dishes there.

Then another Boxing day in my life, where I bought plenty of stuffs, though still ultimately failed to beat Ai Woon the shopping queen.

Finally, its time to return to reality, and my day came on the 27th, when I finally return to Nottingham to continue on my studies.

And so, I shall end my year 2009 with Differential equations and other materials for exams. Today, will be the first time I'm counting down with my friends over Skype.

Happy New Year all! =D
Refreshed!!!

Just got back from Austria yesterday. Landed around 12pm UK time. It was really a great trip! First time seeing snow, experienced heavy snow, experienced a "real skiing" from the mountain top. There's too much!!!

But it was tiring. I slept early yesterday, around 12am. And slept till 9am the next morning. Ok, I know 9am is freaking early? But thats late for my trips in Austria and Hungary. Because its winter season, the night sets in at roughly 4.30pm. If you haven't covered anything that is worth seeing in the day, you gotta push it to the next day. So it sort of became my routine to sleep early (bye 12am) and wake up early too (at 6 or 7am)

Still not back home yet, now resting in Voon Yuan's house. Preparing for London's Boxing Day on the 26th. Gotta fight with lots of nationalities to get to a shirt worth 5 pounds! Damn! And the queues!!! Longer than Great Wall of China! Too bad for NASA they never zoomed in on Oxford Street in UK on the 26th. Should be interesting.

This year its colder in UK. London snowed heavily the moment I landed. We (Voon Yuan, Ai Woon, Brian & me) even got to play some snowballs!!! The snow here is a bit wet, therefore making it easier to form a solid snowball. And getting hit by one in close range is painful, depending on [Geek Mode On] the velocity, the vector position at aiming, throwing and landing, mass of snowball, pull of gravity, g, power produced in the arm of thrower, force exerted by the hand on the snowball, etc etc. Hahaha. But its nice to play snowball in summary. Voon Yuan tried too hard to attack, but his hand can't take the cold of touching snow with bare hands, ending up with his hands bleeding. Hahaha.

Can't wait to get back to Nottingham, where I can finally post about Hungary and Austria. Merry Christmas to all in the mean time =D
H1N1

Just now I just went to Facebook to chill out a while after a long night of report raping session. I can't believe what I saw. This is what is written on my medical friend's status :

"published in canadian medical journal: public health officials must come up with SCARIER names for viruses in order to frighten people into taking preventive health measures. "H1N1 sounds like the name of an income tax form or a robot that might hang out with R2D2 in Star Wars," said researchers."

Omg...R2D2 has a new friend??!?!?!?! Can't imagine if they decide to go hang out together at 1U...
Dedicating My Holiday
02:50 | Author: DrTofu
Its near the end of the term. Everyone is not yet slacking, but close to the point. Pharmacy department people are already partying (I think) because their holiday started.

I think somehow unconciously I've decided to dedicate my term holiday to the Computer Lab in my school. Here I am, still stuck here doing my lab report eventhough its already 7pm. =( These past few weeks has been like that -.- I think this com lab has been my main home instead of that shack where I slept everynight.

There will be more camping here later on after today. Hohoho.

Home sweet home =)
Lost Motivation
09:41 | Author: DrTofu
Hi people, I've received comments on my lack of updates earlier from a "friend". Hahaha. Very sorry. There were few reasons why I couldn't blog as much as last time. Of course, I myself think my blog is getting less interesting, with the lack of ideas, lack of photos. Haih, I'm sad for it too. To think of last time, when I was always very enthusiastic bout blogging.I could just write without needing the "moment!". Now everytime that "moment!" is gone, I probably won't bother bout that half-done post anymore. Its like recently my taste for food has gone from hard boiled egg to soft boiled egg, hot cocoa to lukewarm cocoa drink. Shit!!! What went wrong??

This is real ok!!! Not purposely done to show you I do work!!!

Getting busier? I think that's just my excuse. Hahaha. Who is not busy? But last few weeks is really horrible. I think it was about 6 courseworks to be submitted in 2 week's time. Pressure pressure. Hahahaha.

Putting that aside...I've been selected as Nottingham University Malaysia Society's Malaysian Night 2010 committee member. Meeting was close to daily. As if meeting coursework deadline is not enough, this comes at the same time. But then again, I'm quite glad now to be selected, because I've met many good friends there. =) Those in UK who reads this, do come for Nottingham Malaysian Society's Malaysian Night 2010!!!! More info on it later. The committee is still so new, that no website for the night has been set up yet.

I think partly also because I've lost my motivation. Kenny Sia, in my opinion, no longer blogs as he usually does. Now that he's become so famous, I think his blog has lost the sensation. I remember last time when I always follow his blog, as in really daily. First thing in the morning I do besides visiting the newspaper website, its Kenny Sia. My blog hero has moved on in life...how sad.

Hopefully I will resume blogging as usual? Pray hard people!!!
Overloaded with work!
19:29 | Author: DrTofu
I will be blogging lesser nowadays due to high volume of workload. So full of work, I don't know how to finish them. Sometimes feels like just burn down the whole Coursework Submission office...then don't have to hand in...gosh...

Still misses the weekend the Londoners headed over to Notts. It was fun! One the most fun days I've had in Nottingham. But I won't be blogging bout that weekend, Voon Yuan has done a great job on it. See it here. Dec Dec!!! Hahaha.

Also, will be heading to Austria and Hungary from 11th Dec to 21st Dec. Holiday!!! A thing I think I miss the most now! Ha~ Hopefully got snow over there...if not...I'll be very sad =(
UK Cooking Quest
00:46 | Author: DrTofu
Ok, the name sounds like I'm going to give reviews of the restaurant outlets I've tried in UK. But its not. This post is merely a post to show off food I've made (ya, I'm damn proud of my own food hahahha) I didn't make any great food for your information. But I am a little bit proud of it, because I never thought I could cook. (or maybe I still can't, its up to your taste buds to judge it)
Having cooked here everyday, I somehow think cooking is more than just cooking. Sometimes I think you have to have creativity in the food you make. You must also have vision of what the final product is like. There are thousands of ingredients here. Most of the ingredients here are great for western food, but then, it might not suit you, or worse...you don't know what they are and their purpose.

Food here, to me, can be considered cheap, especially the raw ingredients, like onions, garlic, eggs, with a catch, if you do earn money here. Even udon noodles sounds ridiculously cheap. Its 30pence. Its like 30cents to Malaysians for them, though its raw udon.

Mushroom and sausage spaghetti. Yum!
There were pretty weird pasta I made so far, or I think so. Initially, the pasta I had was cooked the most normal way it could be, tomato sauce (bought from supermarket, I does not have the ability to cook my own yet), pasta, mushroom, sausage. Very normal, very easy.

Then one day, I got tired of eating tomato sauce pasta, I turned to what Kepong people loves...the fried pasta, Tanjung Style!!! Although I did not use the spaghetti, the shell pasta did alright too. What is lacking in the ingredient is a decent stock soup to add to produce a much more superior taste. A bit of black pepper, lots of basils (its the best ingredient in pasta dishes), onions, and lots of garlic! I managed to reproduce like 60% of the Tanjung famous fried spaghetti. Hahaha. It was hard to get those nice burnt taste there without frying the whole pot.

The "Meatballs" Pasta
Then there's the part where I had too much sausages, and instead of dropping them inside, I took off the skin, rolled the meat into a ball, and made it into a meatball. Or so it seems. It was the weirdest pasta I've ate, due to the weird taste of the sausage (that sausage isn't very nice).

Next I tried making some carbonara, which of course, the sauce I bought ready made at some supermarket. What I did, was just add in extra ingredients into the sauce. Basil (OH YEAH!), double cream (really fatty), mushrooms and some cheese. Turn out to be not that satisfying, not the greatest. So currently I'm on the quest to learn how to cook a carbonara sauce, all from scratch! No more sauce from the damn supermarket!

Cheese Tortellini with normal bolognese sauce with bits of Parmesan. Not bad
The Black Pepper Udon
After so many pasta, I bought some udon at London's Chinatown when I went down for a trip. It is one of the best food I've cooked so far. Black pepper Udon with bits of marinated chicken, capsicum and squid. Everything really taste good, except for that squid. It tasted awful, because its frozen and not fresh. Since I'm a great pepper fan, what I did was simple, add in lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of black pepper. And I do mean a lot. The result was simply fabulous. My first time cooking it, the udon taste great with the lots of black pepper on it, chicken taste awesome, capsicum bit raw (will fry them a bit before dumping in next time).

Then, tired of using raw ingredients, I've decided to do some simple stuff (plus I'm a bit sick). Bought some reduced spaghetti ready meal from the supermarket and some mash potato. Heat up both, make some black pepper sauce out of the black pepper sauce I bought in London, pour over the mash potato, tada! I have bolognese and mashed potato with black pepper sauce. Simple n nice. Haha.

The mashed potatoes, black pepper sauce and the bolognese
Next up in my cooking quest, I shall learn how to make some tiramisu (if I can) and carbonara. Both were pretty much my favourite foods. I'm going to be half Italian soon. Italiaaaanoo!!!
A Visit to London
06:20 | Author: DrTofu
Over the weekend, I travelled to London with two of my very good friends. We took trains from Nottingham Train Station to London's St Pancras International Train Station. The journey was shorter than expected, it only took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach there from Nottingham. I think the train have been travelling at around speeds of 110km/h to 140km/h.

Arriving there, Ai Woon picked us up rather than Voon Yuan (his place is further and he is having class then). Her place turned out to be quite near to the station. About 20 minutes walk. So while waiting for Vy to finish his class and cook the dinner for us (Bak Kut Teh), we walked over to rest.

First image of London...its full of cars and people. Just like KL. Nottingham seems to be very quiet and serene now. Haha. After the excellent dinner (kind of miss Malaysia food after 1 month =/ ), we travelled down to Westminster area using the excellent Tube (subway train of London). I still think its the best public transport albeit a bit pricey for us Malaysians. We then have plenty of photoshots of the night view of the area. For your information, Westminter area houses London's most famous clock tower, the Big Ben and as well as the Parliament, London Eye and so on. We arrived home that night quite late, which all of us went to sleep straightaway so to conserve energy for tomorrow's journey.
The Big Ben

The Parliament & River Thames
London Eye
Night Skyline of the two icons
We went to Madame Tussaud's first thing in the morning. Tickets costs 22.50 pounds if I didn't recall wrongly. But then, it was worth it because you get to pat Spiderman's head, touch Nicole Kidman, give the Hulk a low-blow, see Hitler & Saddam Hussein, scold Simon Cowell and even punch Muhammad Ali. Its not bad finally seeing those wax figurines with my own eyes. Exciting adventure. =D

Then we head on to Chinatown of London (finally a Chinatown!!!), which Nottingham fails to possess of one, to have our lunch. Roasted duck rice, Kailan and Ma Po tofu, is the meal we ate. Succulent meat with crispy outer skin, the duck was absolutely fabulous. Only the duck is the real deal. The others were OK only. We then went to buy food from the Chinese shop in Chinatown. Absolutely fantastic. I sweeped the shop of practically anything I can. At one point I even wanted to buy a lotus root to make good soup, but then its too hard to transport, leaving me no choice but to leave it out of my list. I bought 7 packs of fresh Udon, black pepper and char siew sauce, 2 bottles of sesame seed oil, a bottle of rice wine and a bottle of Kaya (a must have!). These stuffs might not be rare elsewhere, but it is rare, extremely supremo rare in Nottingham, all because Nottingham DOES NOT have a Chinatown. Sad...

Four Seasons, the Restaurant that serves excellent duck rice

Next we went to Covent Garden, which is a must go in London in my personal Opinion. Its equivalent our Petaling Street, with more shows than sales. And boy, the people here are really into acting. Some come with full body paint, clothings and things you really can't imagine. They are really good too. There quite a lot of little stalls selling food around, one which sells Paella, a Spanish rice which I bought out of curiosity. First spoon and I have to say, its Godly!!! Its really one of the best rice I've eaten. Simple, delicious, beautiful. =)

Covent Garden!

The Paella

Next we cover the Oxford Street or the shopping street or the ladies' heaven, which is again a must go for London, especially on Boxing Day (Big Discount Day). If you go then, you'll be terrified by how many Londoners there is, especially the foreigners like myself. Hahaha.

Next day, we went back again to Oxford Street for the girls' second round shopping. Unfortunately...I have neither the passion nor the money to do a second round. Girls can get very unhappy when they fail to shop a single thing, I learned this that day. Girls can browse a long time, up to one hour in a shop of a brand, with only 2 floors for them. I learned this rule that day too. Unbelievable.
Oxford almost made us late for our train back to Nottingham. I left with Ai Woon to take our luggages (which we left at her place prior to shopping second round at Oxford St) at 2pm, we arrived at the train station at 2.45pm (the train's scheduled to leave at 3pm sharp!) after a great deal of running up the stairs at tube stations, walking with extremely big strides, and rushing. We made it!
Notts UK Fresher's Fair
20:16 | Author: DrTofu
Today I went to my Uni's Fresher's Fair. Its a fair by the Student Union in the university. All the clubs and societies of the university will be having their own booth here, pulling in new members to their club.

This fair is what I would call a fair. The societies here were no jokes. There are plenty of societies. From adventure to books, to martial arts, to literature, photography, and lots more. What captivated me the most is the skydiving society. It seems fun and they do sky dives plenty of times per term. I'm not sure bout the price. Should be alright. I might be joining. Going for the class as well. Why not eh?

Second most interesting thing is the Duke of Edinburgh Award society. I first heard it from Ai Woon, and I must say, it seems quite interesting. What they do is, you need to complete 5 different category of stuffs, before you can get the award. If I'm not mistaken, its adventure, community service, expedition, something something and something. Can't remember. Hahaha. Chance to do something good, and earn a medal for it. Hehehe. But it require up to six months to complete the bronze medal. Argh...I wouldn't mind a gold for this. Haih...see how first la!

Third, is the photography society. They do all sorts, lending out equipments, tripods, lightings, tips and tricks, and even dslr cameras to members. That is damn good. I wanna learn more bout photography. Its one of my favourite things. They even have trips to take photography. I think that'll be more valuable if I go back to Malaysia with great photos rather than some crappy photos which only I think is good. Hahaha.

They actually have a light aircraft that we can pilot when they flew it for u up there already. All just for 3.75 pounds if I'm not mistaken. That is damn cool. I hope to go up one day if can. Hahaha. I haven't found out much bout that one yet. Maybe some time later. Hehehe.

I think this is the first time I'm able to use Internet in UK. There's still no Internet access at my house, so I'm blogging from the University's computer lab.

Arrived on Monday at Birmingham International Airport, then we took a train to Beeston (the lovely town where I'm staying at), got off, then took a cab with all our luggages home. The house is quite "lovely". Hehe. Quite small, but the rooms are actually not bad. Mine's kinda big. The heater is a real problem though, quite a weak heater. But then again, as I'm not that scared of cold, so I don't really see much of a problem. Well, if its gets colder in the winter, probably I'll go off buying some portable electrical heater. Gas is expensive like mad here. Electricity is way cheaper.

I can't believe I departed from Malaysia without trying at least to cook. But then, I managed to survive well again. Basic survival instinct =) Well, first time I cook, its pasta, I know its easy, but then, I over estimated the water needed for the sauce, therefore its a bit watery. But we ate ok. Second time, we got a bit better (I cook again XD). I added mushroom and sausages inside the sauce. Excellent, not too watery this time. Breakfast I cooked my own omelette too, with mushroom inside. Add some fruit juice as my breakfast....sweet. Then I cooked some carbonara (with the bought sauce of course haha), added double cream (I know its fattening), bacon (bacon in UK smells like shit), and mushroom again. Turn out to be quite ok la. Not the best carbonara. Hahaha. Tommorow going to try to cook ABC soup, and menu for tonight, is rice, fried vege and probably some baked beans. Not bad I suppose. Hahaha.

Transport here is great...but the price is not. £1.5o per ride to anywhere? It is quite expensive. Unless you decide to go somewhere far far far far. But the buses are very accurate. 10mins between each bus. This put KTM in Malaysia to shame. Can't even arrive accurately. And the most amazing part, I think buses in Nottingham is equipped with hydraulic suspension. They lower the front left part when someone is getting on or off according to the height of the pavement, therefore, what you get is a small gap between bus and pavement, but at the same elevation. Very friendly for the disabled. I think thats why I see so many disabled people here in Nottingham. Don't know why, is it the food? Or Nottingham City trying to pull in the elderly?

Well, seeing I'm using the University's computer to blog, I won't post any pictures I've took in this post. Maybe the next. =)

One of the most terrifying movie I've ever watched. And of all cinemas, I've picked a theater with the THX qualification sound system (which means more ooooooomph!!) I went to watch with Sue Lynn, my brother and a cousin.

OOMPH!!
The theater was quite empty...making the whole movie 10 times scarier. Among the 4 of us, 3 of us did not watch 50% of the movie...

Basically the movie is about this girl who is working at a bank, approving loans and stuffs. She met this grandma (sort of) who somehow looks damn horrible, scary and...demonish. And so damn lucky, she knows a curse which is just pure evil. And so bla bla, she cursed the girl because of some failed loan thingy. So the story revolves around her torture from the curse. The ending is quite good also. Hahaha.
Aunty...you look scary lar
My overall rating of this show, out of 5, is 4/5. Its quite scary. Plus the story is new to me (maybe because I didn't watch much scary show). Hahaha. To me, its a definite must watch, but only with THX. Or else the oomph might not be there =P
Come N Go

Come and go...I think this is what is happening to my group of friends nowadays. The old gang no longer stays together as we all are pursuing our own path of life. There is always someone missing from the group. Trips no longer contains the whole gang too.

Vacations can only be done within a short span of time where almost everyone is free to join.

How sad life has become. But this is life.

I hope we all do stay together as friends till old age.
Transforminators...Hahaha!

Oh my goodness...I can't believe I missed out on one of the best band in the world. I still remember last time, Cheri and Stephanie was praising Muse, but back then, I didn't know anything about them.

Recently, I obtained a video of their concert at Wembley Stadium, 2008. Goodness...I am no fan of Muse when I first watched the video. Few minutes into it, I am now a BIG FAN!!!!

They got the best ruddy live performance ever!!! The main singer, Matthew Bellamy is so energetic throughout the whole concert. They are pretty talented lads too!!! Omg...I absolutely love Muse now! (They are better than Linkin Park at certain areas!!!) Hahaha.

Musey Musey Musey Musey Musey!!!

Wah...so long I haven't touched this blog. Hahaha. Sad. No time to bother at all. (Actually all available time spent on COD4). Now exam is finally over, I've got time to blog again!!! Don't know if I miss it or not. I don't mind typing, just the pictures uploading is troublesome and slow.

I'll keep this post short. Hopefully many events are coming up for summer holidays.

And hopefully this post is a sign of me coming back to the blogosphere =D

Nottingham's Annual Dinner '09

The Red Carpet Affair

This year, the annual dinner of University of Nottingham Campus is held at Sunway Hotel Resort & Spa, located at Subang area. Along with it is free entrance to Euphoria Ministry of Sound.

It is one of the most awaited event of the whole academic year, if not the grandest. This year, finally, my friends and I managed to get a table. I still remember where I joined Ee Ling's table for annual dinner. Omg...it was kinda horrible...because I only know her from the table. It feels good to have your friends you know sitting with you. Then you know you can be crazier than usual.

Guys from my table

L to R : Darren, Adam Jong, Zi-Yian, Charly, Me

After 3 weeks of busy window shopping, I settled with a shirt from Zara I bought along with Voon Yuan last time. But damn...I seriously need to diet already...that shirt...when I wore it then, it was OK, got room here and there...this time...have to suck in the stomach at all times to prevent free flabby show. In the end, I walked 5-6 times through 1U, but bought nothing for annual dinner. Haha. Not even the shoe or socks.

Kenneth & Rebecca

So on the day itself, I was busy washing my car ( gotta show off a bit ma XD ). Washing, waxing, drying, vacuuming. Omg...darn...I was pretty tired by the time it was finished. So, at 6.30pm, I departed for the venue, the event was scheduled to start at 7pm. Being a good Malaysian, I arrived about 10 minutes later. But it doesn't matter. When I arrived, most of my table mates are not even there yet. After some photo frenzy moments, we went to our table, table 114 at around 7.30pm

Zi Yian & Fong Wen

Fong Wen & I

Furious 4
L to R : Andrew, Kelvin, Ah Sheng, Darren

Darren & I

Cow & Me

Looking Good! XD
To say, I think this year's annual dinner was somewhat lousy compared to last year's. Last year's emcee was way better, and they are from FlyFm. They at least manage to talk to the crowd and hype them up. The food was poor too. Nothing like last year's. Performance wise, this year's still lose out a lot, because the previous year had Jason Lo performing live for us, and they're good alright. But all these doesn't matter.

The first and best dish of the night...disappointment for the food

The Menu

The setting
Actually, I was highly anticipating the clubbing at MoS later. After all, its free, and no smoking allowed inside. Woo hoo!!! It was one of the clubs that I have always wanted to visit (I'm a first-timer). But my friends and I went to the wrong floor...instead of R&B, we ventured to the trance floor, but to me, its still OK, just a bit hard to dance. Haha.

My first image upon stepping into the trance level is...Holy shit...they've got one hell of a speaker set. Lets put it this way...its LOUD and the dance floor...it TREMBLES ...
I love it!!! Go in for a while, and you will come out with your ears experiencing the ringing sensation...all the way till tomorrow. It sure feels good to try out new things. I like the dancing part, though I'm a complete noob when it comes to that. Hahaha. Its good to release some stress.

I came out at 2am in the morning to drive back to Semenyih. Damn...I was freaking tired by the time I reach home. So I bathed quickly and jumped into the bed, anticipating another great event...(to be continued)...
