Nottingham's Annual Dinner '09





The Red Carpet Affair





This year, the annual dinner of University of Nottingham Campus is held at Sunway Hotel Resort & Spa, located at Subang area. Along with it is free entrance to Euphoria Ministry of Sound.



It is one of the most awaited event of the whole academic year, if not the grandest. This year, finally, my friends and I managed to get a table. I still remember where I joined Ee Ling's table for annual dinner. Omg...it was kinda horrible...because I only know her from the table. It feels good to have your friends you know sitting with you. Then you know you can be crazier than usual.

After 3 weeks of busy window shopping, I settled with a shirt from Zara I bought along with Voon Yuan last time. But damn...I seriously need to diet already...that shirt...when I wore it then, it was OK, got room here and there...this time...have to suck in the stomach at all times to prevent free flabby show. In the end, I walked 5-6 times through 1U, but bought nothing for annual dinner. Haha. Not even the shoe or socks.

So on the day itself, I was busy washing my car ( gotta show off a bit ma XD ). Washing, waxing, drying, vacuuming. Omg...darn...I was pretty tired by the time it was finished. So, at 6.30pm, I departed for the venue, the event was scheduled to start at 7pm. Being a good Malaysian, I arrived about 10 minutes later. But it doesn't matter. When I arrived, most of my table mates are not even there yet. After some photo frenzy moments, we went to our table, table 114 at around 7.30pm

To say, I think this year's annual dinner was somewhat lousy compared to last year's. Last year's emcee was way better, and they are from FlyFm. They at least manage to talk to the crowd and hype them up. The food was poor too. Nothing like last year's. Performance wise, this year's still lose out a lot, because the previous year had Jason Lo performing live for us, and they're good alright. But all these doesn't matter.

Actually, I was highly anticipating the clubbing at MoS later. After all, its free, and no smoking allowed inside. Woo hoo!!! It was one of the clubs that I have always wanted to visit (I'm a first-timer). But my friends and I went to the wrong floor...instead of R&B, we ventured to the trance floor, but to me, its still OK, just a bit hard to dance. Haha.

My first image upon stepping into the trance level is...Holy shit...they've got one hell of a speaker set. Lets put it this way...its LOUD and the dance floor...it TREMBLES ...
I love it!!! Go in for a while, and you will come out with your ears experiencing the ringing sensation...all the way till tomorrow. It sure feels good to try out new things. I like the dancing part, though I'm a complete noob when it comes to that. Hahaha. Its good to release some stress.

I came out at 2am in the morning to drive back to Semenyih. Damn...I was freaking tired by the time I reach home. So I bathed quickly and jumped into the bed, anticipating another great event...(to be continued)...
